How the night runs

Twelve players, three courts. You rotate through three stations across the evening. Cameras run on every court, so your game is read the whole way through, not only when you're facing the pro. Three touring pros run the stations, with the Mantis founder on court three all night.

01 Play the pro

  • Return their serve and try to win the point.
  • Two of the three pros rotate through this court, so nobody faces the same player twice.
  • Tactical feedback the moment you come off.

02 The rating

  • Point play against the room: first to eleven, or king of the court.
  • Every shot is tagged and scored as you go.
  • You leave with your first All Court Rating and a shot-by-shot breakdown of the night.

03 The warm-up

  • Doubles, hitting drills, and the full Mantis range to try.
  • Stay warm between rotations. Compare a heavy 16x19 to your usual frame.
  • The Mantis founder talks you through what to pick for your game.

The same read as any session

We film all three courts all night, then run every player's footage through exactly what any All Court session gets. Nothing is changed for the occasion. Here is what that means.

01 Computer vision breaks the night into shots

Every video is processed frame by frame, and each shot you hit is found and labelled by type: forehand, backhand, serve, volley and the rest. Over a two-hour evening that is usually well over a thousand.

02 Each shot is scored across six dimensions

Those labelled shots build your All Court Rating: ball speed for Power, the preparation, contact and follow-through of your swing for Control, footwork into each ball for Movement, how often you dictate for Initiative. The scale is calibrated against tens of millions of shots.

03 Then a touring pro gives you their read

A touring professional sits with your footage and records personal feedback in their own voice: what stood out, what is working, and the one thing to take into your next session.

About you

Best suited to players at club level or above. Not sure you fit? Say so in the note and we'll be straight with you.

By entering you agree to our terms and privacy policy, and you understand the evening is filmed and footage may be used by All Court and Mantis in marketing.

In collaboration with Mantis

Mantis is a small British racket brand. Short runs and considered specs, built for players who care about swing weight and balance.

The founder brings the full range to court three and stays for the evening. Try any frame across your rotations, and he will walk you through how to choose a racket for your game, including the details most club players never get explained.

There are prizes on the night: Mantis rackets and All Court kit.

What happens with your footage

Everything filmed on the night is tagged, scored and gathered into one playback on your profile, with your All Court Rating and your pro review beside it. You can delete any of it at any time, and nothing is published without your permission.

Clips are yours to show off too. If you post one, find us on Instagram at @allcourttennisclub and we'll cheer it on.

Questions

Do I need to be an All Court member to enter?

No. Anyone can enter. Your pro review comes back by email, and it also sits on an All Court account under the same address, ready whenever you want it.

What should the clip show?

You, playing. Rallies, serves, points, a lesson: anything from a recent session. A minute or two filmed on a phone from the side or back of the court is plenty.

What if I'm not drawn?

You still get your pro review, and you hear first when the next night opens.

How will I know where I stand?

The email we send when you enter carries a link to your entry. We confirm places by email on 25 September, and members see where they stand on this page when signed in.

Is the evening filmed?

Yes. Every court is filmed all night so your footage can be scored and reviewed. You can delete any of it at any time, and nothing is published without your permission. By entering you agree that All Court and Mantis may use footage from the night in marketing.

Can I withdraw?

Yes. The link in your entry email lets you withdraw any time before places are confirmed.
